Good skin starts at the cellular level, and Parisian Peel Microdermabrasion is one of the most popular, time-proven methods of consistent skin care.
This procedure will dramatically improve skin tone and texture in just five to eight treatments!
Parisian Peel microdermabrasion is one of the most effective ways to maintain healthy skin that feels as good as it looks. If you are struggling with mild to moderate acne, microdermabrasion can be a monthly preventative treatment. If you’re noticing premature signs of aging such as skin discoloration and sun damage, microdermabrasion is a preferred way to gently buff away dry and damaged skin. If you are otherwise happy with the condition of your skin, microdermabrasion is a great monthly “refresher”.
What to Expect from Microdermabrasion
A microdermabrasion treatment involves a “microdermabrasion machine” that emits a pressurized stream of crystals through a hand piece onto the skin’s surface. These aluminum oxide crystals are used to gently abrade the outer layers or the skin. The particles and loosened skin are then vacuumed with the hand piece leaving the skin feeling unbelievably soft and smooth.
This exfoliation of the epidermis accelerates collagen production, resulting in healthier, firmer rejuvenated skin.
How Long Does the Treatment Take
The Parisian Peel microdermabrasion treatment can be administered in about 30 minutes. This includes treatment of the skin with a light peeling agent for better depth of the peel. Patients can return to work or daily activities right after the treatment since there is no anesthesia and no downtime.
As an acne treatment, microdermabrasion is successful because of how well it unclogs the pores. When dead cells are removed consistently from the skins surface, the pores are relieved from the dirt and oil eradicating the acne bacteria. While everyone’s situation is unique, considerable changes in your skin’s tone and texture usually occur after five to eight treatments.
Our Practice Philosophy on Microdermabrasion
Though microdermabrasion is effective on its own, our practice typically combines this treatment with chemical peeling solutions to accelerate its depth of peel. We have found that microdermabrasion can actually improve the effects of chemical peels, Photofacials (IPL) a daily home skin care regimens on our patients by consistently removing dead surface skin.
